We are excited to announce that Lisa Pittman and Ashley Thomas have joined together as partners in the newly named boutique law firm, Thomas Pittman, PC. Thomas Pittman is the successor to Bissex & Watson, PC, which Ashley helped co-found in 2010. Together, Lisa and Ashley will represent companies, executives, investors and entrepreneurs in their business and commercial endeavors specializing in raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, hemp and cannabis business planning and compliance, partnership and shareholder litigation, executive compensation, trademarks, outside general counsel services and data security and privacy.

Continuing from her years of practice at the international firm of Norton Rose Fulbright, Ashley, as managing partner of Thomas Pittman, brings her near 20 years of legal expertise together with her own experience as an investor, director of various organizations and companies, business strategist and entrepreneur to represent large and smaller clients alike in ways few corporate attorneys can.

Lisa, specializing primarily in hemp and cannabis business planning and compliance as well as commercial litigation, has been described as the “First Lady of Texas Cannabis Law” and has been in Colorado since the beginning of this nascent and emerging market. With the recent legalization of industrial hemp nationwide and in Texas along with her move back home, Lisa is poised to help many Texas-based and national companies enter the market, having already developed significant relationships among the experts and leaders in industry, government and the legal profession. Lisa has also led the American Bar Association to create a Cannabis Law & Policy Committee, which she will chair. Together with Ashley, Thomas Pittman can be the only legal resource clients need as they move into the hemp market in Texas.
